Kate Hudson talks racy photo shoots: 'It doesn’t take a lot for me to take my clothes off'

Kate Hudson has zero regrets about posing nude for magazine covers – more specifically, her 2001 InStyle cover, which she reflected on in an essay for the magazine published Tuesday.

In the piece, Hudson fondly recalls her early years breaking into the acting business, including the period of her life when that cover was shot, when she was "newly married (to musician Chris Robinson), and my whole career had just shot up after "Almost Famous" came out.

"To be honest, it doesn’t take a lot for me to take my clothes off. People can say whatever they want, but I like being naked," she said, joking about the magazine shoot, "I posed naked for the cover, and I was strategically draped with what was basically chain mail. The stylist had a very hard job."

In an Instagram video that accompanied the essay, Hudson holds up a copy of her nude cover, mocking the outrage that accompanied its release.

"This got banned from certain shops or establishments because it was deemed inappropriate," she says, before telling the camera, "Whatever, we sold a whole bunch of them."
