Kate Hudson Set for Living Room Concert to Promote Debut Album, ‘Glorious’

Kate Hudson is marking the release of her debut album, Glorious, with a special “living room concert” and livestream on media platform TalkShopLive.

Simulcasting live on RollingStone.com (on this page) the event takes place on Friday May 17 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT. Viewers will be invited into Hudson’s home as she performs tracks off her rock and folk-tinged album, while answering fan questions and delving into the personal stories behind some of her new songs.
Hudson will also offer autographed CDs and limited-edition vinyl versions of Glorious for sale, along with exclusive album merchandise. Viewers can purchase products directly from the video player while they watch Hudson’s performance.
The Kate Hudson TalkShopLive show will be simulcast on the actor-singer’s Instagram page and Facebook page, in addition to TalkShop.Live and RollingStone.com.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Hudson explained that while she had always loved music, she was nervous to release a full album for fear of critique and rejection. But after spending time in the studio with her fiancée Danny Fujikawa and songwriter Linda Perry, Hudson was able to — literally — find her voice, and craft an album that she’s now extremely proud to share with the world.
“When I knew it was done and everything was mastered and I was signing off on it, it was like giving birth to a baby — it really felt that way,” she says. “I was incredibly emotional. But what was interesting was that I didn’t have any fear.”
