Kate Flannery (‘The Masked Singer’ Starfish) unmasked interview: ‘I’m a star!’ [WATCH]

The Group A finals took place on “The Masked Singer” Wednesday, April 17 on “Queen Night.” After singing their hearts out for panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Ken Jeong and Rita Ora, the bottom two acts were eliminated. First to go was Ugly Sweater (Charlie Wilson), whose rendition of “I Want to Break Free” put him in last place. Then Starfish lost to Goldfish in the Battle Royale. The playful sea creature pulled off her mask and revealed herself as SAG Award-winning star of “The Office,” Kate Flannery. Watch her unmasking above.

“There’s more snacks on ‘The Office,'” she told host Nick Cannon during her unmasked interview. “And you know what? I can’t drink at all when I do this show. Boring!” Ken, who was the only panelist to guess her identity, sang her praises, calling her “the most grounded celebrity I know.” Kate’s response? “But after ‘The Masked Singer,’ I’m a star!”

While Ken was spot on with his guess, the other panelists missed the mark. Robin, Jenny and Rita thought Starfish was Kate McKinnon, Lisa Kudrow or Amy Schumer, respectively. In Starfish’s clue package she revealed, “This Starfish put up quite a fight last time. And I’m just going to keep on fighting right through this Group A final, because that’s what Freddie would do. He knew how to perform under pressure, literally! After my two best gal pals got my dream job, the pressure was on for me to become a star on my own! And then I get this call to step on to something else, to replace someone who got fired! That first day on the job, I felt like my every move was being scrutinized, but this was my chance! Nothing was going to stop me. I put my spin on it, and it worked! Looking back, I was glad I was able to perform under pressure. And now that’s exactly what I’m going to do tonight. It would be another dream come true if I could make it to the quarterfinals, and this queen is coming for her crown.” Visual clues included a telescope, a white rabbit and a golden bell.

Kate was the ninth celebrity unmasked this season following Kevin Hart as Book, Savannah Chrisley as Afghan Hound, Joe Bastianich as Spaghetti & Meatballs, Billy Bush as Sir Lion, Sisqo as Lizard, Colton Underwood as Lovebird, DeMarcus Ware as Koala and Charlie Wilson as Ugly Sweater.
