Kate Chastain Says She Doesn't Plan on Having Any More Kids: 'I'm One and Done' (Exclusive)

PEOPLE caught up with the 'Couch Talk with Captain Lee and Kate' star at BravoCon 2023

Kate Chastain doesn't have any plans to be a mom of two.

The Below Deck alum and Couch Talk with Captain Lee and Kate host opened up to PEOPLE about motherhood while walking the red carpet at BravoCon 2023, revealing that she's "not sure a second child is in the future."

"I'm one and done," says Chastain, 40, who announced that she welcomed her first child — son Sullivan Cay — back in May.

She went on to joke that her son is at the age where he's "finally getting a personality," which influences her thoughts on baby No. 2.

"Oh, I’m in big trouble with Sullivan," she says. "He's got a lot of personality and I'm pretty sure he takes after me in the personality department — which, if that's the case... Karma is coming for me!"

"But I love Sullivan so much," she adds. "He's doing great. He's back in Florida. Safe, healthy, and happy!"

And while Sullivan won't be getting a sibling anytime soon, he does have a four-legged "brother" in Chastain's longtime dog, Halo. "He has finally come around to Sullivan," Chastain says. "Halo has gone through all the stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance — we’re there! We’ve finally made it to the last stage! And we’re good now."

Chastain has been sharing plenty of happy mom moments with Sullivan on social media. She just marked her first Halloween with her little one, dressing him up in a multi-colored bird onesie fitted out with wings, a hood and a beak.

"100 percent showing these photos to his first date when he's a teenager," she wrote on Instagram Story, below a short video filmed as her son's face broke out in a smile.

She added Nelly Furtado's 2000 hit "I'm Like A Bird" as a background song to the post, too.

In mid-October, the former reality star also took to Instagram to show her fans how excited she was to enjoy the start of fall with her son. A video she posted shows Sullivan tucked comfortably in the front of her overalls as she stood outdoors by the docks.

“It dropped below 90 degrees today so obviously we’re out celebrating the start of Fall 🍂🍁,” she captioned the post. 

PEOPLE reported news of Chastain’s pregnancy exclusively in December 2022, where she discussed her desire to have a child of her own. "I am absolutely thrilled to become a mother," the reality star said at the time. "It's something I've always hoped for, so this is truly a dream come true!"

Later, while appearing on the Watch What Happens Live after show, Chastain — who has not publicly revealed the identity of her son's father — said she was planning to raise Sullivan on her own.

"I'm doing it solo and perhaps with some help, but I'm happy to do it alone," she said, adding that she “always wanted a kid...but I wasn't sure if it was going to happen for me, so I just feel so lucky."

BravoCon 2023 is taking place through Sunday at Caesars Forum in Las Vegas.
