Drew Barrymore and Kate Bosworth bonded over "a very important person" they share in common on Thursday's episode of "The Drew Barrymore Show."

Barrymore, 48, dated Justin Long on and off from 2007 to 2010. In April, Bosworth, 40, and Long, 44, confirmed their engagement.

The talk show host extended an invitation to Bosworth after having Long appear on the Season 3 premiere of her daytime talk show in September. Barrymore explained that she wanted to discuss the importance of "celebrating our exes," but also show ways that women can "champion each other" by having the "Blue Crush" star on the show.

Kate Bosworth on Justin Long's proposal 'I really want to spend my life with you'

Barrymore gushed about Long, adding that he and Bosworth are the "incredibly joyous, bonded, real deal, ultimate couple you root for."

Bosworth responded, "He loves you so much. He just loves you so, so deeply."

It was actually the "21" star who encouraged Long to appear on Barrymore's show, she revealed. "I was with him when he got the ask and I said, 'Oh, you have to do it. Yes, you have to do it.' I was so excited," Bosworth told Barrymore. "I was so excited because I knew there was so much love between the two of you."

"I always say you guys were like in the tornado together. Right? It’s the time in your life where you’re just like, 'I want to, like, feel. I want to do everything, I wanna just, like, be a part of the adventure in like a wild way,' which is so much fun," she added. "And he just loves you so much."

During the Season 3 premiere of "The Drew Barrymore Show," the host and Long had a tearful reunion as they reminisced on their relationship and growth since then.

"I love that we maintained our love because I know, for my end, it will never go away," Long told Barrymore.

Through tears, she responded, "We've been through so much together too. I feel like when we used to, like, talk and FaceTime, I was always like, 'You know, I've really grown up, Justin.' I always wanted to prove what a different person I was than when we dated."

Barrymore recalled how fun their relationship was, but admitted they were "more hedonistic, more immature" at the time and that their on-and-off relationship was "chaos."
