Kate Beckinsale Wears a Dress Resembling the “Titanic” Necklace to Leonardo DiCaprio's Birthday Party

The actress' dazzling mini dress designed by The Blonds featured a belt adorned with a large blue stone and crystal embellishment

Kate Beckinsale made a statement with her style at Leonardo DiCaprio’s 49th birthday bash.

The 50-year-old actress was among the A-list crowd at the actor’s party on Saturday in Beverly Hills and, for the occasion, she transformed into a life-size sapphire gem!

Beckinsale wore a sparkling strapless mini dress from the The Blonds fall 2023 runway collection, which was decorated with dazzling embellishments and a large rectangular sapphire-like adornment placed on the belt. There were also layers of crystal embellishments along the neckline.

Her choice of clothing seemed to be a nod to DiCaprio’s most notable movies, including Titanic as her eye-catching piece resembled the famous Heart of the Ocean diamond necklace featured in the 1997 film.

Some also believed that the actress was referencing her and DiCaprio’s film, The Aviator, (as first pointed out by Cosmpolitan.com), more specifically the scene in which she (as Ava Gardner) declares “I am not for sale" as she dismissed he sapphire necklace gifted to her by DiCaprio’s character Howard Hughes.

Beckinsale shared photos of her outfit — which also consisted of platform ankle-strap heels, sparkling drop earrings and a large hair bow — to Instagram, writing “Powerpuff girls are go,” but leaving her inspiration up for interpretation.

This isn’t the first time Beckinsale has shown up to an event in a larger-than-life ensemble.

In September, she attended the Zodiac Ball at the Houdini Estate in Los Angeles a Tony Ward Couture look consisting of a gold bodysuit and an opulent wide-brim hat with a veil that reached the ground and also featured ornate gold detailing. She stood tall in gold platform heels.

DiCaprio hosted some of the biggest names in showbiz this weekend, including  JAY-Z and Beyoncé, Snoop Dogg, Tobey Maguire, Taika Waititi and Axl Rose. Lil Wayne was also in attendance and even performed, the source adds, noting: "At one point everyone was singing classic hip hop."

Italian model Vittoria Ceretti, DiCaprio’s rumored love interest, was also there celebrating. A source told PEOPLE that the two were “affectionate and kissing throughout the night."

DiCaprio remained the center of attention, though, as the source says the actor was “raised and carried around the room” at one point. The party kept going into the early hours of the morning, with many guests staying past 4 a.m.
