Kate Beckinsale, Seen Out with Pete Davidson, 'Isn't Looking to Get Serious': Source

Girls just wanna have fun — and nobody knows that better than Kate Beckinsale!

On Friday, the 45-year-old actress supported Pete Davidson at his stand-up comedy show in Los Angeles.

Though the pair left the venue hand-in-hand and headed back to Davidson’s Santa Monica hotel together, a source close to Beckinsale says her relationship with the Saturday Night Live star, 25, is not likely to go any further.

“Kate’s not looking to get serious with someone,” the source told PEOPLE. “She wants to have fun with guys and date around.”

Beckinsale was divorced in 2016 from director/producer Len Wiseman. Last summer, she was linked to comedian and actor Matt Rife, 23. The duo called it quits after two months of dating.

Then in November 2018, Beckinsale started dating British actor and comedian Jack Whitehall, 30. The pair were spotted showing some PDA at a karaoke bar in Los Angeles, kissing at a candle-lit booth.

Not long after, however, their flame had fizzled out and Beckinsale was spotted with Davidson at Netflix’s Golden Globes afterparty in January.

As PEOPLE previously reported, the two talked intently for most of the night there, keeping their focus on each other even while mingling with Davidson’s close friend Machine Gun Kelly (née Colson Baker), Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen.

Eventually, the other members of the group wandered off, and Davidson and Beckinsale continued to chat. One onlooker said they cuddled at the party as well.

However, the two did not leave together, a separate source told PEOPLE.

Days later, Beckinsale clapped back at a critic who tried to criticize her for her time with Davidson.

It all started after she shared an old photo of her mother, 71-year-old actress Judy Loe, to Instagram.

In an exchange captured by the popular Instagram account Comment by Celebs, one of Beckinsale’s followers wrote, “Dear heavens, Kate. Not Pete Davidson.” And without missing a beat, Beckinsale responded, “No, that’s my mother. Easy mistake.”

Davidson split from Ariana Grande in October, and though the comedian has admitted to having a hard time in the months since, a source recently told PEOPLE he is embracing his bachelorhood.

“He is very much enjoying being single as he is focusing on himself,” the source said in late December.

Beckinsale and Wiseman, 45, divorced in 2016 after 12 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences. The two met in 2003 on the set of Underworld and got married the following year.

At the time, a source close to the pair said, “They have both had complicated schedules and have grown apart.”

The star also shares 20-year-old daughter Lily Mo Sheen with actor Michael Sheen, whom she dated for eight years.
