Ryan Reynolds' NSFW response to Kate Beckinsale, who believes they 'look exactly' alike

Ryan Reynolds has big plans for Kate Beckinsale, who believes she is the "Deadpool" star's doppelganger. And it involves a reboot.

Reynolds responded to "The Widow" star's claims on his Instagram Story late Monday night. The actor with a super sense of humor imposed the lookalikes' faces on a promotional image of the 1993 TV movie "Double, Double Toil and Trouble" starring twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

"(Expletive) it," Reynolds wrote in the Story in which Beckinsale is tagged. "We already have a script."

This gag may delight Beckinsale, who was adamant Reynolds is her twin while appearing on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" Sunday.

"I look exactly like Ryan Reynolds," she said. "Like, in a shocking way."

According to Beckinsale, 46, she's sometimes even confused his face for her own.

"Sometimes I see a bus going by with a poster, and I think, 'Damn, I look hot,' " she said. " 'Oh wait, it's not me. Also, I never did that movie. I've been at home.' "

Seeming skeptical, Fallon brought out side-by-side photos of the two actors to evaluate the resemblance.

"Do you see it?" Beckinsale asked. "It's weird, right?"

"I don't really see it," the host confessed.

Nevertheless, Beckinsale continued, saying she's "wrestled" with her resemblance to the 42-year-old Canadian actor for a while now.

"I mean obviously he's not even, like, a slightly girly boy-bander type," she said. "He's, like, a big Canadian man, and I really see myself in him."

According to Beckinsale, she avoids interacting with Reynolds because they look so much alike.

"I can't be in the same room as him, because one of us would, I think, explode," she said. "Something would happen."

Beckinsale added when past boyfriends of hers have met the star, they've felt, well, a little uncomfortable, to say the least.

"I have had boyfriends be in the same room as him when I wasn't there and feel really compromised. Like, way too intimate," she said. "They just feel like ... they sort of know things about his undercarriage that they shouldn't, but they don't."
