Kate Beckinsale is officially a single woman, after the actress and her husband Len Wiseman, filed legal documents ending their marriage.
According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, a judgement in Kate and Len's divorce has been filed with the court.
We broke the story Beckinsale, who is represented by powerhouse attorney Laura Wasser, settled the financial details of her divorce several weeks ago.
This is the last step in officially ending the marriage.
Kate Beckinsale and Wiseman publicly separated over 3 years ago, but have been negotiating the division of their property and fortune.
Beckinsale and Wiseman have been privately mediating the agreement by using a private judge in Los Angeles.
We're told the divorce settlement was filed with the judgment but details of the exact nature of the financial split is confidential. The couple had no children.
She Gets Hers, He Gets His
In the initial divorce filing, Kate said asked the court to award, as her sole and separate property, all her jewelry and personal effects. Also movie money she earned after the separation.
In the weeks leading up to the finalization of their divorce, Kate deeded a home over to Wiseman in the Hollywood Hills.
Kate Beckinsale is an A-lister starring in many blockbuster films, but Wiseman is a big director and is connected to the very popular film series, 'Underworld.'
The ex-couple actually met on the set of 'Underworld' back in 2003. Kate Beckinsale had been in a long-term relationship with actor Michael Sheen whom she shares a daughter.
Kate and Len went through a very public divorce Wiseman was seen out at an LA club with a young model. Beckinsale was overseas shooting a movie, and photographs surfaced of Len and the model.
It's unclear if the couple had already separated at the time.
Beckinsale's current dating life made headlines earlier this year after she started dating "Saturday Night Live" star Pete Davidson.
Davidson had just split with pop star Ariana Grande.
A New Marriage Proposal?
Kate Beckinsale once proposed marriage to movie star Ian McKellen and even though that really didn't happen, the "Widow" star is publicly leaving the door open in case he is interested.
Well, it not exactly what it seems...during a Buzzfeed game of "Two Truths and a Lie" with Helen Mirren, McKellen said that Beckinsale once proposed marriage to him.
Turns out the comment wasn't a lie...but it wasn't done seriously.
While attempting to pick out which of the 3 sentences were false, Mirren said, "I can absolutely understand a beautiful young woman proposing marriage to you, it's very believable."
McKellen gave Mirren these two other statements: "The first film I ever made was never released" and "I turned down the role of Dumbledore in the Harry Potter movies."
Mirren passed with flying colors after she correctly guessed that McKellen was never offered the starring role of Dumbledore for "Harry Potter."
McKellen played Gandalf in "Lord of the Rings."
Over the weekend, Beckinsale posted a screenshot of the article with McKellen's proposal question on social media.
"Offer still stands, @ianmckellen" she included heart eye emojis.
McKellen publicly came out as gay in the 1980's.
