Kate Beckinsale Is 'Back to Business' on Instagram After Deleting All Her Posts

The draught is over — Kate Beckinsale is back on Instagram!

The actress, 45, returned to the social media platform on Thursday after she mysteriously deleted all her posts last Friday. Beckinsale made her return with a glam shot of her in a stylish three-piece suit as she playfully addressed her disappearance in the caption.

“Back to business . Also this is not a plant it is a painfully attached tail,” she wrote next to a shot of her standing in front of a leafy plant.

The move also echoed her new flame Pete Davidson, 25, who often deletes his social media and last deactivated his Instagram at the end of 2018 following his rollercoaster relationship with Ariana Grande.

Beckinsale, who stars in Hulu’s The Widow, opened up in a new interview about the amount of attention her relationship with the Saturday Night Live comic has sparked and said she finds it rather unexpected.

“I’m surprised by the interest [in my dating life],” she told the Los Angeles Times without referring to Davidson by name. “I’ve never been in this position before — never dated anybody who comes with their own bag of mischief. It’s all quite shocking, and something to get used to.”

Despite the intense scrutiny, Beckinsale said she’s stuck around because to her, there’s more to the relationship than inspiring a media circus.

“I think if you liked the person less, you would bow out of it,” she said. “If that were the main thrust of the relationship, there would be a problem. But it’s not … I’d rather not be having people hiding outside my house. It’s a little old fashioned to have a woman’s personal life [looked at like that]. It’s a little bit tired.”

The duo have been seen spending time together in recent months after they hit it off at a Golden Globes afterparty in January. Since then, they’ve been spotted holding hands in public twice, and on March 3 were photographed locking lips at a New York Rangers game at New York City’s Madison Square Garden.

They were most recently out on Monday with Beckinsale’s mom Judy Loe and stepfather Roy Battersby.

“She’s very happy with Pete,” a source close to the actress recently told PEOPLE. “They have really similar senses of humor and she’s always laughing with him.”
