Bollywood heartthrob Kartik Aaryan is set to team up with Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor for an epic war drama. The trio, known for their individual successes, is coming together for the first time to bring a tale of bravery and sacrifice to the big screen.

Recent sightings of Kartik Aaryan leaving meetings with Karan Johar sparked curiosity among fans. Naturally so, this led to speculations regarding a potential collaboration. However, a recent announcement also confirmed that the meetings were indeed for a groundbreaking project – a big-budget war drama based on true events.

Karan Johar will reportedly be producing the film along with Ekta Kapoor. The director’s chair will be occupied by Sandeep Modi. He is known for his works like Aarya 2 and The Night Manager. According to a source, “It’s a prep-heavy film with lots of action and Kartik will undergo transformation to play the part.”

The film aims to celebrate the Indian Army and is set against a backdrop unexplored in previous cinematic projects.

Confirming the collaboration, Karan Johar took to Instagram to make the official announcement on Kartik Aaryan’s 33rd birthday. As a matter of fact, the filmmaker expressed his excitement over his first-time collaboration with the talented actor.

Kartik also reciprocated the excitement, sharing, “An unforgettable chapter of our glorious Indian history full of valor and sacrifice is now going to be part of my life.” The actor further added, “A subject close to my heart. Super proud and excited to embark on a new journey with the extremely talented Sandeep Modi and the powerhouse @karanjohar and @ektarkapoor.”

As the collaboration gains momentum, Kaartik Aaryan has a packed schedule for the rest of 2023 and 2024. He is currently working on projects like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Aashiqui 3, and Pati Patni Aur Woh 2.
