Karol G’s private jet was reportedly forced to make an emergency landing on Thursday night.

According to local media outlet ABC7, the singer’s plane made an emergency landing at Van Nuys Airport in Los Angeles around 9 p.m. local time after the pilot reported smoke in the cockpit.

The jet, which was carrying 16 people, took off from Hollywood Burbank Airport on Thursday evening but turned around when the pilot reported the problem midair, according to ABC7.

The Grammy-winning star, 33, was seen hugging some of her fellow passengers on the tarmac following their exit from the plane in footage captured by the outlet. The jet was also met by airport emergency vehicles upon landing.

There were no immediate reports of injuries and the cause of the smoke has not been revealed, per the outlet.

A representative for Karol did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Karol’s private jet is decorated with the barbed wire heart that the “China” singer has tattooed on her left arm. She told Allure in 2022 of the inking, "People don't know that this tattoo is the opener of my [next] album. I mean, literally, a lot of things start from here. The tattoo represents a moment in my life where I questioned myself a lot. I strengthened and weakened myself a lot. It was a very important moment for me personally, not for my career. For Carolina.”

The star, whose real name is Carolina Giraldo Navarro, is currently on her Mañana Será Bonito tour in Latin America. She is next set to take to the stage on Friday in Guatemala.

Karol won her first Grammy last month when she took home the award for best música urbana album for her record Mañana Será Bonito.

"This is my first time at [the] Grammys, and this is my first time holding my own Grammy," she said while accepting the award. "I'm super happy, I'm super nervous, I'm super excited to be in front of so many legends that I admire and respect."

"This is such a beautiful thing," she continued. "My album has given me the best memories in my own life, my whole life — my fans that came and enjoyed my album, that gave motivation and inspiration and heal with me — thank you so much. I promise you to give you my best always, and I hope this is the first of so many."
