Kardashians Didn't Believe Rumors About Tristan Thompson and Jordyn Woods: 'She Was Like Family'
If you’re struggling to believe the gossip about Jordyn Woods and Tristan Thompson, you aren’t alone.
A source tells PEOPLE the Kardashians had trouble coming to terms with the allegations when news of the cheating scandal first broke.
“When they first started hearing on Monday that Tristan made out with Jordyn, no one really believed it,” the source says. “That Tristan would be inappropriate, yes everyone knows that he can’t behave, but that Jordyn would make out with him, it first seemed like a made up rumor.”
“It wasn’t anything they wanted to drop,” the source adds. “So several family members reached out to people they believed had been at the party. And they were told it was true.”
On Tuesday, TMZ and Hollywood Unlocked reported that Khloé Kardashian and the Cleveland Cavaliers player, 27, split after he was unfaithful with her youngest sister Kylie Jenner’s best friend Woods, who is also a member of the Good American squad, representing Kardashian’s clothing brand.

And while the alleged affair feels like a deep betrayal for Khloé, the rest of the family is hurting as well.
“It’s all mess now. Everyone considered Jordyn family. She was like a family member and always invited everywhere,” the source says. “The family helped her and wanted her to be able to have a business venture too.”

Woods’ future relationship with the family — especially Kylie — remains uncertain.
“Jordyn has been like Kylie’s sister. They were inseparable, and always together,” the source says. “Jordyn often helped Kylie with Stormi. Kylie was always so excited to have Jordyn around. It seems Kylie isn’t sure what to do, but it seems impossible for her to keep Jordyn around.”
“Life won’t be easy for Jordyn if the girls close their doors. And this doesn’t seem like the kind of betrayal that can be forgiven.”
Woods has remained silent since the reports first surfaced broke, but Thompson tweeted, “FAKE NEWS” before deleting his post.

Reps for Kardashian and Thompson did not return PEOPLE’s requests for comment. Woods’ rep had no comment.
A source told PEOPLE that the Kardashians found out about the scandal Monday.
“The whole family is furious,” the source added. “They were blindsided.”
It’s not the Cleveland Cavaliers player’s first cheating scandal, either. Last April, videos leaked of Thompson getting close to other women just days before Kardashian gave birth to their daughter True.
