Kanye West's 'Sunday Service' Louisiana Church Denies Involvement In 'Brunchella' Food
The church where Kanye West's Sunday Service was held wants to make it clear it had no connection to the food served during the event.
Bethany Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana played venue host to the 'Brunchella' event, along with Kanye's performance.
The church claims a promoter actually organized the event and sold tickets that included the meal.
A representative of the church tells The Blast, "As the venue location, and nothing else, Bethany Church simply allowed an event promoter to utilize the open field in front of the church crosses. All artist logistics, including ticket sales and relevant financial agreements, were handled by the event promoter Affiliate Nation; the church has nothing to do with any of those operations and did not receive any amount of compensation, directly or indirectly, from sales related to the event."

Fyre Festival Comparison...
People who attended Kanye West's 'Brunchella' were bitter pissed after spending $55 on a brunch, they believed to be connected to Kanye's performance and now is being compared to the famous 'Fyre Festival' food.
Kanye West performed his ‘Sunday Service’ in Baton Rouge, Louisiana over the weekend where he did songs from his new album ‘Jesus Is King.'
Like most of Kanye's Sunday gatherings, fans are pumped and nothing but rave reviews are being written about the event. But, in this case many are not happy with the price of attendance and the food provided.
Patrons paid $55.00 for the ‘Brunchella’ event which seemingly accompanied the Sunday Service event.
A attendee of the event posted a picture of the food served on site, and the post quickly went viral.
Many on social media compared the photograph to the now infamous 'Fyre Festival,' even posting side by side photos of the meals.
"What's going on at Fyre Fest South aka #Brunchella?" one person tweeted.
Promoter/Caterer Take Reponsibility
A coordinator for the event took responsibility for the brunch was provided for ticket holders, before Kanye's 'Sunday Service' performance.
In a press release the promoter of the event said "On Friday, November 1, Lauryn’s Fine Catering provided brunch to Baton Rouge Sunday Service to attendees. Sunday service has no affiliation with the ‘Brunchella’ catering service. Attendees were to be provided with a hot brunch while waiting on Kanye West to perform. The catering company did not provide adequate food for ONE attendee and a social media post went viral."
The organizers wanted to make it clear the rapper had nothing to do with the food on site.
Not Kanye's Fault...
"Kanye West and the Sunday Service collective has no responsibility for any food complaints reported and should be disassociated with such claims," they said.
One person agreed on Twitter, saying, "Kayne not responsible for this.. The promoter is who put the brunch together.."
Videos surfaced online showing the "brunch tent" and pointed out that several things seemed to be thrown together and not organized very well.
A source close to Kanye said, "Kanye and his Sunday Service did perform at the event at 8pm that night." Clearly pointing out any meal during the day was not associated to the evening performance.
The church denies the event was an annual event, which is what West's camp was told.
We're told Kanye did not receive any money to perform, and was not legally or contractually associated with the event in any way. The Bethany church was simply used as a location for his ‘touring’ Sunday Service.
