Is Kanye West running for President in 2024?
Kanye West is reportedly not running in the US Presidential elections in 2024.
The rapper previously made his intentions clear that he’d be seeking Presidency in 2024. In 2020, he made his first attempt at running for president appearing on the ballot in 12 states. Unfortunately for him, he only collected 60,000 votes out of 160 million potential voters and was late to file for candidacy in other states.
Still, he didn’t give up and tweeted “Kanye 2024,” hinting at another presidency attempt. So, now that the elections are getting closer, people have been left asking if he will continue his bid. According to Bruce Marks, West’s attorney, the Runaway singer won’t be running for President.
While speaking with Rolling Stone, Marks stated, “He’s not a candidate for office in 2024.”
So, people shouldn’t expect him to continue his campaign in 2024.
Will Kanye West run for President in 2028?
Kanye West hasn’t revealed any plans to run for President in 2028.
While he is confirmed to be sitting out of the 2024 elections, he hasn’t hinted at any plans to seek the presidency in 2028 either. Since he isn’t campaigning for 2024 despite signalling otherwise in the past, it’s possible that he doesn’t want to continue pursuirng the dream of being President for now.
A lot can change in the next 4 years. However, guessing by the number of votes he managed to collect in his first attempt, he may not prove to be a strong candidate in the 2028 elections either.
