Kanye West Locked Out of Twitter After Threatening ‘Death Con 3 on Jewish People’
Kanye West was locked out of Twitter on Sunday after the rapper posted a blatantly anti-Semitic tweet threatening to go “death con 3” on Jewish people.
In his post, West wrote “I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE The funny thing is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic because black people are actually Jew also You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda.”
The tweet has since been taken down by Twitter, with a note that it violated the social media platform’s policies. “The account in question has been locked due to a violation of Twitter’s policies,” a Twitter spokesperson said in a statement. No indication was given on how long West will be locked out of his account.

West’s tweet drew widespread criticism from fellow celebrities, including Sarah Silverman, Jamie Lee Curtis and more.
Twitter’s lockout of the rapper comes just a day after West had his Instagram access restricted by Meta, after he posted a now-deleted screenshot of a text exchange with Sean “Diddy” Combs in which West also made anti-Semitic remarks while defending his choice to wear a shirt that read “White Lives Matter.”
In one of his first tweets in a year, West criticized Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg for the move, saying “You used to be my n—a.” A Meta spokesperson told NBC News Saturday that West had violated Instagram’s rules and guidelines, though it did not specify exactly which posts were deemed a violation.
“This ain’t a game,” West wrote in a text to Diddy on Instagram that had the caption “Jesus is Jew.” “Ima use you as an example to show the Jewish people that told you to call me that no one can threaten or influence me. I told you this was war. Now gone get you some business.”

West also made anti-Semitic remarks during an interview with Tucker Carlson on Fox News last week, claiming that Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law and grandson of Holocaust survivors, was focused on making money for himself during diplomatic negotiations in the Middle East.
The American Jewish Committee condemned both the deleted post and the Carlson remarks as “dangerous,” saying that West was dealing in “anti-Semitic tropes like greed and control.”
And the Creative Community for Peace (CCFP) had this to say in a statement:
“In the past week, Ye has spread some of the most vile and age-old stereotypes about Jews to his hundreds of millions of followers. There should be no place for this kind of hate in our public discourse. We support every entertainer’s right to free speech, but no one has a free pass to target and demonize a minority group with such malice.
We are gravely concerned about the impact of Ye’s statements – and how they will affect his fans, particularly young people. At the same time, we hope this can be a moment that ultimately creates better awareness about the dangers of antisemitism for Ye, his fans, and other entertainers. We remain open to dialogue with him about how harmful and fallacious his comments are.“
