On Monday, November 21, Kanye West was hospitalized for exhaustion. Initial reports indicated that it was “for his own health and safety,” and that he was taken for psychiatric evaluation. Today, West was apparently scheduled to be released from the UCLA Medical Center, but he will now remain until further notice because he “is still not stable,” TMZ reports. Pitchfork has reached out to West’s representative for comment and more information.

After entering UCLA’s Medical Center, West’s doctor told TMZ that the rapper “suffers from temporary psychosis due to sleep deprivation and dehydration.”

The hospitalization followed a tumultuous week for West that culminated in him canceling the remainder of his Saint Pablo tour.
