Kanye West’s Fans Mock ‘Cancel Culture’ As ‘Vultures 1’ Soars

Despite the controversy surrounding the rapper and the many attempts to cancel Kanye West, his new project with TY Dolla has hit the top spot on the Spotify charts.

The update, which the music executive uploaded himself, brought his fans out in their numbers to not only celebrate the feat but also call out his haters' seemingly failed cancellation attempt.

After a series of antisemitic remarks and controversies in 2022, numerous brands and artists chose to distance themselves from Ye. In fact, many onlookers declared that the controversial rap figure would never soar in the music industry again.

That theory has apparently been dispelled following the release of his "Vultures 1" album on February 9, which has now reached the number-one spot on Spotify. The father of four posted a screenshot of the win for his social media fans to see and rave about.

Minus liking the post over 300k likes in less than an hour, online personalities also trooped into the comment section to air their views. "Cancel culture couldnt Cancel the Vulture," one person declared, as another effused, "good (don't die) is so underrated," a third noted, "Of course, you made Graduation."

At the same time a fourth Instagram user commented, "ye cancelled the cancel culture," while a fifth reiterated, "Now they know they can't cancel greatness," and a fifth praised Ye for being a "glorious antisymmetric KING."

Other comments included, "can never stop the culture #NewJesus!," "The best rapper of the last 20 years," and "Still the KING."

It is worth mentioning that this is not the first time Ye has got fans reacting positively this month. The "Jesus Walks" hitmaker had gotten people's attention when he unveiled his daughter North's vocals on a track titled "TALKING / ONCE AGAIN."

The ten-year-old was heard passionately singing about "problems" and people who are "just talking" in a music video for the song, which is part of the "Vultures 1" project.

After screaming the words, "You don't want no problems. You're just talking," the first child of the Yeezy founder and his ex-wife Kim Kardashian rapped, "It's your bestie. Miss Miss Westie. Don't try to test me. It's gonna get messy. Just just bless me."

In reaction to the view and the lyrics, one fan commented, "ye is really raising a legend right in front of our eyes."

A second supporter asserted, "Something about Kanye doing a collab with his own child that gets me… it's wholesome," and a third confirmed, "Father daughter duos just hits deeper. The industry needs more of it."

Ye Made His Unhappiness About His Inability To Perform Live Publicly Known

Ye previously touched on the cancelation attempt when he returned to Instagram with a passionate rant about the current state of his career. 

"I HAVE NOT BEEN ALLOWED TO PERFORM IN A YEAR. FEELS LIKE THE ELVIS PRESLEY MOVIE," he penned before taking to his Stories to elaborate. 

In the first clip posted, the Grammys winner proudly displayed his $850,000 Permanent Titanium Teeth paired with a black ensemble. He began, "It's Ye. We just sold out the United Center in seven minutes, and I just wanted to express to everybody out there to see if there's anyone that can help with this."

Expressing frustration, Ye stated, "It's the only arena that I had access to in the past year, and when I call, people say there's no avails for me, and you know why that is. So, if there is anybody out there that can help with this, please do."

While it was unclear if his declaring his frustration was specifically targeting the United Center or other prominent arenas, The Blast did observe that the location's website indicated that February 8 was reserved for the "Ye & TY Dollar $ign Vultures Listening Experience."
