“No publisher or publicist will tell me what to put where or how many pages to write.... This is an innate need to be expressive.”

Kanye West recently revealed that he’s writing a philosophy book called Break the Simulation. He also recently returned to Twitter after an 11-month absence. Since he’s been back, West has been tweeting musings like, “Some people have to work within the existing consciousness while some people can shift the consciousness,” and, “everything you do in life stems from either fear or love.” Today, West has stated that these tweets are the book.

“This is my book that I’m writing in real time,” he tweeted. “No publisher or publicist will tell me what to put where or how many pages to write. This is not a financial opportunity this is an innate need to be expressive.” West added, “I will work on this ‘book’ when I feel it.” Find Kanye West’s book announcement, as well as a handful of excellent excerpts, below.
