Kanye Said He Wants to Make “52 Records in 52 Weeks”

That’s what he told The New York Times’ Jon Caramanica after ye was released

Kanye West has been extremely busy in the past month. He released ye, Kids See Ghosts, and three albums he produced for Pusha-T, Nas, and Teyana Taylor. Following the release of ye, West sat down with The New York Times’ Jon Caramanica for a wide-ranging interview about his new work, his mental health, and more. In a new episode of Caramanica’s “Popcast,” he discussed some additional comments West made during their time together. “He told me at one point he wants to make 52 records in 52 weeks,” Caramanica said (at the 48:30 mark below). “Take that for what you will.”

While it’s unclear just how serious West was, rumors have been surfacing about Kanye releasing more projects. Francis and the Lights reportedly said he “heard rumblings” of more Kanye projects coming out. Tonight, Def Jam tweeted an image with the question, “Which artist would you like Kanye to produce a 7-track album for next?”
