Kanye West recently announced his first opera, Nebuchadnezzar which is “based on the biblical story of the Babylonian King from the Book of Daniel.” It premieres tonight, November 24, at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles at 4 p.m. PT/7 p.m. ET. Italian performance artist and longtime West collaborator Vanessa Beecroft directed Nebuchadnezzar, which is set to feature West’s Sunday Service collective, the singer Peter Collins, and the group Infinity’s Song. Kanye has also shared the apparent song listing and the Bible verses he read as the opera’s narration.
His latest album Jesus Is King was released last month.
