In its announcement, A+E noted that her promotion comes on the heels of the studio’s success of The Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix, which quickly rose to the streamer’s global top 10 in 81 countries.

Yu LaPack will continue to report to Michael Feeney, executive vp corporate communications at A+E Networks.

“Kannie is a thoughtful and inspiring leader who has led her team to consistently raise the visibility of Lifetime and LMN across all platforms,” Feeney said. “As well, she has demonstrated incredible acumen in creating effective and meaningful public affairs campaigns throughout her career. As A+E Studios enters into a time of strong growth, I can think of no better person to lead these areas and drive success.”

Yu LaPack has been with Lifetime for 18 years, during which time, the company says, she’s played a key role in shaping its brand narrative. She and her team are currently working on the launch of Where Is Wendy Williams? Recently, she spearheaded the press strategy around Lifetime’s documentary The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard, which ranks as the most-watched cable series so far in 2024, as well as efforts around Lifetime’s 500th original movie, Murdaugh Murders: The Movie. She also led all publicity and public affairs efforts for the Peabody Award-winning documentary Surviving R. Kelly.

In 2018, Yu LaPack received an Emmy nomination for Lifetime’s 2018 PSA for the Stop Breast Cancer for Life campaign.
