Kang Tae-Oh Joins Cast Of Upcoming K-Drama Potato Research Institute
South Korean actor Kang Tae-Oh is all set to bring back his charm in dramas after his military discharge. tvN confirmed that he will appear in the upcoming K-drama Potato Research Institute (literal title) with Lee Sun-Bin.
Potato Research Institute is a rom-com drama set in the backdrop of the rural potato research institute. The drama will show how the lead characters’ lives collide with each other. While Tae-Oh will play So Baek-Ho, Lee Sun-Bin will portray Kim Mi-Kyung. The characters’ backstory already adds a lot of curiosity to the audience’s expectations.

Kang Tae-Oh’s agency, Man of Creation, and tvN have confirmed the actor’s appearance in the drama along with Lee Sun-Bin. Extraordinary Attorney Woo actor as So Baek-Ho will portray a handsome but strict capitalist character. He only thinks about making profits. One day, after appearing at the research center, he fights with the assistant manager, Kim Mi-Kyung.
On the other hand, Lee Sun-Bin, as Kim Mi-Kyung, plays a potato researcher with 12 years of experience in the drama. She has a polite personality and has been living a peaceful life until So Baek-Ho appears. With his appearance, her life takes a sharp turn.
As reported in Xports News, the actress talked about her feelings about featuring in the Potato Research Institute. She said, “I am so happy and delighted to work with a tvN drama for the first time in a while. I feel excited to show a new side of me to viewers.”
Kang Tae-Oh shared his point of view about returning to the dramas after his discharge. The actor stated, “I am a little nervous as this is my first project after I was discharged from the military, but I am more excited about being able to greet viewers again with a great project. I will work hard on filming with joy as much as viewers have waited, so please show lots of interest and anticipation for Potato Research Institute.”
