Burruss began her journey into stardom as a teenager with Atlanta based girl group XScape in the 1990s. The group consisted of sisters LaTocha and Tamika Scott, Burruss and rapper T.I.'s wife Tameka 'Tiny' Cottle. And although their contribution to that era of music sometimes get overlooked for other girl groups of the time like SWV and TLC XScape definitely left their mark with huge hits like 'Just Kickin' It', 'Understanding' and a remake of the smooth ballad 'Who Can I Run To', originally sang by The Jones Girls in 1979.

After a series of internal conflicts, the group disbanded in 1998, though they did rejoin forces in 2017. But by that time Burruss had already begun making her mark as a reality show superstar on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. And it was also during her time on the show where fans got to see a completely different side of the singer/songwriter. Unfortunately, it came at a cost, and in one huge emotional blowup with fellow co-star Porsha Williams Kandi's good name had been drug through the mud by her other co-star Phaedra Parks.

Burruss has survived many trials and tribulations in her career, but she's never one to shy away from offering tips to others who want to get into show business, as she expressed on her Instagram page recently. Celebrity Insider reports that Burruss took some time out of her busy schedule to give some advice to budding musicians and actors by referring them to a friend of hers named Natarsha Garcia, who Burruss affectionately referred to as 'The Starmaker'. In a post to her Instagram, she had this to say.

This woman has launched so many star’s careers and given them the opportunity to live out their dreams! Not only does she train epic talent, she manages talent as well. One of her groups, ‘Hello Sunday’ is killing it on The Voice in the Top11. Several members of my family have attended her Industry Bootcamp, including my daughter,’

Garcia was grateful for Burruss' shout out and commented "Natarsha responded to Kandi and said this: ‘Kandi, for your friendship and support over the years 🙏🏽AGI appreciates you!’"

With an endorsement like that best believe Garcia is about to become a very busy lady in 2020 and beyond.
