Kandi Burruss Explains Her Comments on She by Shereé: “It’s Not Shade”

On Part 1 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion, Kandi Burruss admitted that although she is “always in support of She by Shereé,” she has “been throwing shade” at Shereé Whitfield’s brand. On Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen’s September 18 episode, Kandi shared a bit more about her mixed reaction to Shereé’s fashion line.

As Andy Cohen explained during the episode, a lot has happened with Shereé’s brand since the reunion was filmed. “We taped the reunion before the finale had aired, so we didn’t see what wound up happening with the She by Shereé website and merchandise and everything,” Andy said. “What was your reaction to all of that, Kandi?”

“I hate to give my answer, because people are going to say it’s shade, but it’s not shade,” she said. “I love Shereé, and I really, really wanted the brand to be what it needed to be, but I was disappointed. I was disappointed it wasn’t ready to go.”

After seeing Shereé’s long-awaited fashion show, Kandi declared in an interview on the Season 14 finale of RHOA, “Please have a way for us to purchase, because I do see some things that I will be rocking.” Now that the brand’s website has launched, Kandi revealed during a game on WWHL exactly how much she would pay for one particular item. After being asked, “How much would you spend on a pair of She by Shereé leggings?” she responded, “One hundred [dollars].”
