Do you want to cook like Kamala Harris this Thanksgiving? Well, thanks to a resurfaced video from 2019 that has just gone viral, you can learn how the vice president–elect prepares her famous turkey recipe.

On November 26, the year-old clip was shared by Washington Post reporter Jonathan Capehart, who asked then Senator Harris to give her best turkey-brine tips moments before she went live on MSNBC’s Politics Nation

She went into full detail while prepping for an on-air interview—quickly pivoting between talking turkey and talking politics like the pro that she is.

In the video, Harris shares recipes for both wet brine and dry brine, which includes basting the turkey with a “cheap bottle of white wine” (we like her style) and mixing salt and pepper together to spread all over the bird. “Just like lather that baby up on the outside and in the cavity,” she says.

As for wet brine, Harris advises cooks to use “a pot of water, couple bay leaves, a little sugar, a little cup of peppercorns, you could even do a slice of orange—something like that.”

Harris's recipe is so good that TikTok user @feministmama made her own version and declared it was the best turkey she's ever made. Take a look, in case you need some help in the kitchen this Thanksgiving

In recent weeks, Harris has continued to share her best cooking tips and tricks. On November 24, she took to social media to post one of her go-to family recipe: cornbread dressing.

“During difficult times I have always turned to cooking,” Harris wrote on November 25. “This year, I wanted to share one of my family’s favorite Thanksgiving recipes with you. I hope whenever you’re able to make it in life, it brings you as much warmth as it has brought me—even when separated from those I love.”

Our history-making veep also included a list of ingredients you'll need for the recipe and a step-by-step guide you can follow to prepare and cook the cornbread to perfection.

Let’s hope that Kamala Harris continues to share more of her beloved recipes. You know, in between her V.P. duties.
