Kamaiyah Shares Video for New Song “Still I Rise”: Watch

Oakland rapper Kamaiyah has shared a new song called “Still I Rise,” featuring Jackboy. It’s the lead single from No Explanations, her third project of 2020. Check out the music video for “Still I Rise” below.

“‘Still I Rise’” is about how we’re all feeling, the times we’re living in are hard, and people try and hold you down, but hard work and hustle will always keep you moving forward,” Kamaiyah said in a press release. “I wanted to put a feature on the song and Jackboy was the only voice I could hear on it. So, when I sent him the record and heard his verse, I knew we had something special!”

The recently announced No Explanations arrives December 11 (via GRND.WRK/EMPIRE). Back in February, Kamaiyah dropped her Got It Made mixtape, which she followed with September’s Oakland Nights project with Capolow.
