Kaley Cuoco pays tribute to John Ritter on the 15th anniversary of ‘8 Simple Rules’
On April 15, 2005 “8 Simple Rules” aired its final episode. The family sitcom that starred Kaley Cuoco, Katey Sagal and John Ritter lost its lead actor in 2003. Ritter suffered a heart attack on the set of “8 Simple Rules.” His legacy lives on for many who admired and had the privilege of working with Ritter, including his TV daughter Cuoco. “I truly believe if John had still been around we probably would have gone on for a long time,” the actress tells Yahoo Entertainment. “It was a great show.” Cuoco goes on to say, “I knew I wanted to make people laugh forever after working with John.” One of the most important things Cuoco reveals she learned from the late Ritter is how to be a leader and lead a show.
