Would Kaley Cuoco team up with Margot Robbie and Lady Gaga for an all-star 'Harley Quinn' movie? 'Hell yeah!'

Batman may not agree, but as far as Kaley Cuoco is concerned, three Harley Quinns are definitely better than one. The Big Bang Theory star voices the beloved DC Comics character on her eponymous Max animation series, while Margot Robbie has been Harley's live-action incarnation in three DC Extended Universe movies — 2016's Suicide Squad, 2020's Birds of Prey and 2021's The Suicide Squad. And coming up next year, Lady Gaga joins the fray when she plays Harley Q to Joaquin Phoenix's "Mr. J" in Joker: Folie à Deux, Todd Phillips's musical sequel to his unlikely 2019 hit.

"They asked me to play that," Cuoco jokingly tells Yahoo Entertainment during an interview about her upcoming Peacock series Based on a True Story, which also stars Chris Messina. "I was very busy! I was shooting this, I couldn't commit to playing [her]. It's really, really tough."

Cuoco may not have actually gotten the call from Phillips to sing and dance alongside Phoenix, but she's gaga to see what Gaga will do with the role. "I think Lady Gaga is going to be amazing. I obviously love Harley Quinn — she's one of my favorite characters, I love voicing her. I think she's going to be awesome, and I'm really excited about it."

Cuoco also reiterates that she loves Robbie's version of the character, once again quashing those old feud rumors that followed the release of Birds of Prey. Coincidentally, Messina tangled with Robbie's Harley in that film as the villainous Victor Zsasz — a bit of casting that comes as news to his Based on a True Story co-star. "I didn't know you were in that!" Cuoco tells Messina and it's pointed out that he's now acted opposite two our of three Harley Quinns. "I'm a chameleon," he replies with a laugh.

Of course, Robbie's DCEU future is currently up in the air since James Gunn and Peter Safran took over at DC Studios. While Gunn directed the Barbie star in The Suicide Squad, her Harley Quinn is notably absent from the slate of movies and TV series that the duo have already unveiled as part of their universe-rebooting "Gods and Monsters" storyline.

But now that there are a trio of Quinns in play, Gunn's next move seems obvious: an all-star Harley party. "Hell yeah!" Cuoco exclaims when asked if she'd join Robbie and Lady Gaga in a team-up adventure. "What insanity would that be to say no to that?"

Messina, meanwhile, admits to feeling a little left out. "Are you saying that James Gunn would not ask me to be in that movie?" he says, feigning sadness. But he'll understand if Gunn ends up casting Phoenix as the new Victor Zsasz. "We're up against each other all the time."

Based on a True Story premieres June 8 on Peacock.
