Kaitlin Olson reveals she outbid Rob McElhenney for Kylie Kelce's jacket

Rob McElhenney lost out on Kylie Kelce's Eagles jacket to none other than his wife, Kaitlin Olson.

The It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia actor, 46, appeared on the latest episode of the New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast to discuss his hardships with being continually outbid on the limited edition autographed Eagles letterman jacket in an auction benefiting the NFL team’s Autism Foundation.

“I couldn't believe that someone was immediately jumping on every time I bid, and so my final bid was going to be representing my favorite player on the Eagles, 62. [$62,000], I thought that was a good number,” McElhenney told brothers and football players, Jason and Travis Kelce.

“And then I got a text from somebody I know who said, ‘I've been the one bidding against you, bozo.’ And it did not even cross my mind that this was a possibility, and it turned out I live with this person,” he continued, referring to his wife and It's Always Sunny costar.

Olson then spoke up on the podcast saying, “What up?” Jason responded by saying, “Kaitlin! Oh my gosh, an inside job!”

“Okay, we live in the same house. This is a foundation that is important to both of us. The jacket looks great on your wife,” Olson told the Philadelphia Eagles center. “It’s clearly for women. I want it. He mentions nothing about it. I’m like, ‘What are you doing?’ ”

She added, “[Kylie] looks great in it. I want to wear the jacket.”

The Hacks actress, 48, explained on the podcast that she had found out that her husband had been bidding on the item thanks to social media. “I find out on X how much he’s bidding,” she said. “And from Jason Kelce that he’s crashing the site. I’m like, ‘No, no, no, I’m crashing the site.’ ”

Ultimately, the couple decided to put in an “even” donation of $100,000 because the money would go to a good cause with the Philadelphia Eagles’ Autism Foundation. “We just truly believe in this organization,” McElhenney said.

He added, “In fact, we’ve done a few episodes of the [Welcome to Wrexham docuseries] about a lot of the work we’ve been doing with the autistic community and actually spanning the whole spectrum of all sorts of different neurodivergent disorders.”

“It’s something that we talk about all the time,” he continued. “It’s something that we feel really strongly about so to be a part of it in any way…”

Then, Olson jokingly cut in that ultimately she won the bidding war. “I win, basically. I win. I win. I won the jacket for sure. He will not be wearing the jacket ever,” she asserted.

“Thank you to both of you. This is beyond generous,” Jason told the couple. “You guys are incredible. You're great at everything you do, including competing for a jacket.”

The kelly green varsity jacket, which retails for $400 and is made by Philly-based sports clothing company Mitchell & Ness, features gray and white accents with the team's old-school logo and mascot on the back. The jacket, which also has regal connections, also features Jason's wife's signature and was also modeled by her on the Eagles’ Instagram.

Unsigned versions of the jacket were previously on sale at the Eagles Pro Shop, Mitchell & Ness and Fanatics, and now can be found online on other auction sites.
