Kaitlin Armstrong Found Guilty of Professional Cyclist Anna Moriah “Mo” Wilson’s Murder

The case against Kaitlin Armstrong is finally reaching its conclusion. According to ABC News, on Thursday, November 17, 2023, a jury found her guilty of the murder of Anna Moriah “Mo” Wilson. Although there has been no word on her punishment, KHOU 11 reports that Kaitlin Armstrong could face up to 99 years in prison.

ABC News reported that after the verdict was passed, the victim’s friends and family embraced each other and cried. On the other hand, the culprit’s family was reportedly in disbelief. Armstrong’s mother sat emotionless while her father and sister left the court.

Witnesses in the case involved Wilson’s mother, Karen, her father, Eric, and her brother, Matthew. The latter said, “My sister had her life taken from her for no reason at all. She’ll never ride a bike again; she’ll never take a 20-minute break from work to bake banana bread in her kitchen; she’ll never get married.”

He continued, “She’ll never buy a home; she’ll never have kids; she’ll never meet someone that she loves and…my parents will never be able to see that happen, to see her enjoy her life.”

How and why did Kaitlin Armstrong murder Moriah “Mo” Wilson?

According to Outside Online, Kaitlin Armstrong was reportedly dating a man named Colin Strickland. However, they broke up for some time in 2021. During their time apart, Colin got romantically involved with 25-year-old Anna Moriah “Mo” Wilson, who was also his friend. Strickland and Armstrong began dating once again, so Wilson and him went back to being friends once again.

On May 11, 2022, Moriah “Mo” Wilson was in the apartment of her friend Caitlin Cash when Kaitlin Armstrong reportedly shot her dead. Cash was not at the scene when this happened. She returned home at around 10 p.m. to discover the lifeless body of her friend in a pool of blood. Armstrong’s weapon of choice was a 9mm SIG Sauer P365 pistol.

According to The Independent, Armstrong considered the victim her romantic rival. As it is, the guilty party’s jealousy reportedly led her to kill the 25-year-old cyclist.
