Kailyn Lowry Says Boyfriend Elijah Scott Has 'No Communication' with Her Other Co-Parents: 'There's No Beef'

The former reality star is mom to seven kids, three of whom she shares with Scott

Kailyn Lowry is opening up about the relationship between boyfriend Elijah Scott and her other co-parents.

In an Instagram Q&A from over the weekend, the podcast host, 31, was asked how Scott gets along with her exes and other co-parents. Lowry shares her twins Valley Verse, as well as son Rio, 15 months, with Scott. She is also mom to Creed, 3½, and Lux, 6½, with ex Chris Lopez, 10-year-old son Lincoln with ex Javi Marroquin and 14-year-old son Isaac with ex Jo Rivera.

"There's no beef but also no communication," the mom of seven wrote over a picture of her boyfriend. "Nobody really crosses paths."

Earlier this winter, Lowry and her boyfriend appeared on an episode of her Barely Famous podcast and discussed how they juggle their schedule to accommodate all the different needs and activities of their kids.

"You have never made me feel like you resent me if I have obligations with my other children," Lowry told Scott, pointing out that such flexibility isn't always the case in every partnership. "[There are] couples who are not prepared for the work and the exhaustion and the responsibility of having kids."

Lowry said that a "level of resentment" can sometimes build between such couples and she is happy not to have that experience with Scott, who has had patience with her and the process as they establish their new normal.

"I hate to say it like this, but I have not been a full-time parent for years," she explained. "Because when Chris and I had Creed, we were broken up. We weren't together for my pregnancy with him and I think even before that was on and off."

Lowry noted that she's always had some "time to myself" while balancing the schedule for the older four boys. "So being in a relationship again where it's you and I are together, living together and full-time parenting, it falls on both of us. It's been a big adjustment."

Lowry said Scott has also always been okay with the fact that "something that I'm not willing to do is cut back on my older kids' schedules."

"I don't think the older kids' lives should be flipped upside down because of the new babies," she posited, sharing that some people decide differently and that she's privileged to have a support system that makes this possible.

"I can't picture a world where I'm like, 'Lincoln, you can't sign up for travel basketball because I had three babies in less than two years. I can't picture a world where I would do that. But I know I would imagine that has to be annoying or frustrating at times."
