K-Pop Auditions 2024: Pledis, JYP & More Open Global Forum for Trainees

K-pop labels are inviting interested trainees from all over the world to become the next global star. From Pledis Entertainment to JYP, several K-pop auditions for 2024 have been announced.

Becoming a K-pop star is not easy, but there’s an infinite interest in the global fandom to achieve their lifelong dream of becoming a pop star through Korean labels. From SM Entertainment to JYP, many labels have opened their doors to international fans. Hence, the geographical boundary is no longer a barrier to achieving the K-pop dream for the new generation of budding artists.

Here, we are looking at some of the most sought-after companies’ K-pop auditions in 2024 that are open now.

Pledis Entertainment

K-pop rockstar SEVENTEEN’s music label, Pledis Entertainment, has announced the details of its latest K-pop audition for global fans, Wonder Teens. Along with SEVENTEEN, Pledis is also home to groups like Fromis_9, TWS, and After School.

While Pledis’ current groups mostly have Korean members, the latest audition of the music label is open to global trainees. Interested candidates have to be born after 2006 to be eligible. The budding artists can apply through the official website of Pledis Audition for the Vocal, Rap, or Dance categories.

After the online audition, Pledis will hold offline auditions in Seoul, Australia, and the United States. The last date to register for the online auction is March 31, 2024.

JYP Entertainment

JYP Entertainment has created some of the most popular K-pop artists and groups ever. Established in 1997 by J. Y. Park, JYP has been instrumental in creating the foundation of the K-pop industry that fans know of. Some of the most popular groups of JYP Entertainment include TWICE, Stray Kids, ITZY, and 2PM.

JYP is also behind Korean bands like Xdinary Heroes and Day6, who did not adopt the K-pop style of music and experimented with their creativity to bring something new to fans.

JYP has opened its door to international fans who want to join the music label in 2024. Candidates can register through the official JYP Audition website. Koreans and non-Koreans can apply through the same portal. However, the registration asks candidates to specify their nationality before going forward with the application.

SM Entertainment

SM Entertainment is considered to be the pioneer of K-pop. The music labels created groups like Girls’ Generation, TVXQ!, SHINee, EXO, Aespa, Red Velvet, and NCT. Former K-pop groups like H.O.T and S.E.S also came from SM Entertainment.

The music label has several new projects lined up for which they are auditioning global trainees. SM’s global audition information can be found on the official SMTOWN audition website.

Along with online registration and the screening process, SM Entertainment will be physically holding K-pop auditions in 2024 in Los Angeles and Toronto. Dates for SM Entertainment’s Los Angeles auditions are March 20 and 21. In Toronto, the audition will take place on March 28, 2024.

The last date to register for SM’s 2024 audition is March 28, 2024.

BELIFT

After creating the successful K-pop group Enhypen, BELIFT is gearing up for their next girl group debut, I’LL-IT. But the quest to find the perfect K-pop trainee has not stopped for the music label. Audition forms for 2024 are now open on BELIFT’s website.

Male candidates born in or after 2005 can apply for the 2024 audition through the website for singing, rap, or dance.

K-pop has proved that music transcends the language barrier. With more labels opening their platform for global trainees, the Korean pop industry is proving to be the trailblazer that promises to create a world where anyone can achieve their K-pop dream.
