JTBC’s ongoing K-drama Frankly Speaking is garnering a lot of attention from viewers. The rom-com drama is even leading the viewership rating lists. Starring Go Kyung-Pyo and Kang Han-Na as the leads, the audience is loving their chemistry and the plot.

The storyline revolves around a mid-30-year-old man, Song Ki-Baek, played by Go Kyung-Pyo. He is a polite and respectful announcer who faces a tragic disaster in his career after an incident. After accidentally getting electrocuted, he starts to speak harsh truths without thinking. Upon learning about him, On Woo-Joo (Kang Han-Na), an entertainment writer, decides to bring him on her show. What happens between them in the process is what makes up the rest of the narrative.

A weird comedy-drama, Chicken Nugget, revolves around Choi Min-Ah (Kim Yoo-Jung). Ryu Seung-Ryong plays Yoo-Jung’s father’s role, Choi Sun-Man. The drama is a lot like Frankly Speaking, as both storylines revolve around a drastic incident.

A fantasy rom-com, See You in My 19th Life, stars Shin Hye-Sun and Ahn Bo-Hyun in the lead roles. The storyline revolves around Ban Ji-Eum (Hye-Sun), who can reincarnate right after her death. But the catch is that she can remember her past lives. However, when her 18th life gets cut short, she decides to take control of her next life and find the people from the previous one. It might not have a similar storyline to Frankly Speaking, but Ji-Eum’s struggle to remember everything resembles Song Ki-Baek’s struggle to try not to speak at all.

Potato Star 2013QR3

Go Kyung-Pyo, Ha Yeon Soo, and Yeo Jin-Goo starrer Potato Star 2013QR3 is a comedy-drama with a hint of fantasy. The storyline resembles a lot of Frankly Speaking. The narrative follows Hong Hye-Sung (Jin-Goo), who wants to become Korea’s Mark Zuckerberg. But when a mysterious comet falls onto Earth in 2013, weird things start to happen revolving around Noh’s family and his neighbors.

Connect

Connect is another Go Kyung-Pyo drama that focuses on fantasy-based drama. It is a thriller K-drama revolving around Ha Dong-Soo (Jung Hae-In), who loses one of his eyes after getting kidnapped. Soon enough, he figures out that his eye belongs to a serial killer, and he can see what the killer sees. He decides to chase him and find him. What happens to him and how the plot gradually unfolds will give the audience chills.
