Justin Timberlake's Recent Controversies May Have Had This Effect on His Marriage to Jessica Biel

The last few years have not been kind to Justin Timberlake, who has spent much of his time apologizing for finding himself mired in controversy. Whether it is how he treated Janet Jackson in the aftermath of the Super Bowl wardrobe malfunction or Britney Spears’ claims that he encouraged her to have an abortion, the news surrounding the NSYNC star has not been great. However, it’s his wife, Jessica Biel, who was probably affected the most.

In 2019, the 43-year-old musician and actor was caught holding hands with Palmer co-star Alisha Wainwright in New Orleans. It appeared to be a boozy night on the town, but the flirtatious night looked incriminating — and at the time, Biel was at home and pregnant with their second son, Phinneas, 3. At the time, he called it a “strong lapse in judgment” to his fans, but it was his 42-year-old wife he had to apologize to the most. However, it appears that the marital crises have only brought them closer together.

A Life & Style source spotted the cozy duo at the Vanity Fair Oscars party on March 10, and they looked tighter than ever. They looked and acted like two teenagers in love,” the insider divulged. “They were holding hands, taking selfies with each other, and cuddling on the couch the whole night.” They were showing a united front, but Timberlake’s upcoming Forget Tomorrow World Tour will be another big test for their marriage. “It’ll be hard on them,” the source noted. “Jessica and the boys [including son Silas, 8] will visit Justin as much as they can, though.”

Timberlake’s tour is on track to be a successful one with Complex calling it “the fastest-selling and highest-grossing tour of his career thus far,” but his critics still have a strong opinion on the former boy bander. “He was very effective at using his boy-band past and white, blond, blue-eyed looks to shore up the general victim narrative that was central to his early career,” said writer Escobedo Shepherd to Vox. And Beyond the Blinds podcast host Kelli Williams added, “But it’s like what Jennifer Aniston said about Brad Pitt: There’s a sensitivity chip missing.”

Biel has stood by her husband’s side through the worst of his scandals, and it doesn’t look like she is going anywhere. He’s a mixed bag for some fans, but Biel has made her decision to stick by her man.
