Justin Timberlake Prepares Music Comeback With Cryptic Message

Justin Timberlake is seemingly preparing for his musical comeback. The former *NSYNC frontman cleared his entire Instagram on Tuesday (Jan. 9). Along with the eye-raising action, JT also changed his avatar on IG.
The new picture features the singer peeking out of a car’s rearview mirror with his eyes cast in light. Timberlake’s eyes appear glossy as if dampened from potentially crying.
Timbaland and Justin have also been using their new roles as music curators for the NFL’s Monday Night Football 2023-2024 season to drop new music. During a commercial for the upcoming Philadelphia Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers playoff showdown, the pair recently teased JT’s new era.
Moth-eared fans may have heard a new song from Justin Timberlake called “Sanctified” soundtracking the hype ESPN commercial. Thumping, yet steady 808s carry JT’s vocals as he sings about his subject with religious overtones. “Can I get a witness?” he sings as a choir arrives on the track.

Additionally, Timberlake’s website all but points to an imminent announcement. The GRAMMY Award-winning artist’s site has transformed into a bright yellow square with a simple message: “SOON.” A 2024 copyright from SONY Music Entertainment is also stamped at the bottom right corner of the message.
JT’s last album, Man of the Woods, dropped six years ago in 2018. MOTW was a left turn for the singer coming off of his critically acclaimed 20/20 Experience Part 1 & 2. JT tapped Timbaland, The Neptunes, Max Martin, Danja, and more for his ambitious work. The project blended familiar Timberlake elements, r&b, soul, and dance with funk, Americana, and country.
His fifth studio album received mixed reviews upon release. Despite the lukewarm reception, the album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. “Say Something” featuring Chris Stapleton also received a Best Pop Duo/Group Performance nomination at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards.
