Justin Theroux Sends Jennifer Aniston A Sweet (And Cryptic) Birthday Message

Justin Theroux wished 'fierce woman' Jennifer Aniston a Happy 50th Birthday on Instagram, which he cryptically signed off with a 'B'.

The 47-year-old Leftovers actor shared a black and white photograph of Aniston lifting a pair of bull's horns, and added the caption: 'Happy Birthday to this fierce Woman. Fiercely loving. Fiercely kind... and fiercely funny. [Heart] you B.'

Fans were left guessing what the mystery 'B' could stand for, with some suggesting that it could be an old nickname, or be for 'best friends', which is what the former couple referred to each other as when they announced their split almost a year ago.

In a joint statement last February, the pair confirmed the end of their two-year marriage with the message: 'We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship.

'Normally we would do this privately, but given that the gossip industry cannot resist an opportunity to speculate and invent, we wanted to convey the truth directly,' read the statement. 'Whatever else is printed about us that is not directly from us, is someone else’s fictional narrative. Above all, we are determined to maintain the deep respect and love that we have for one another.'

Theroux and Aniston met on the set of Wanderlust in 2011 and married in a secret ceremony in 2015.

Meanwhile, the Dumplin' actress recently celebrated her birthday with a big party in LA over the weekend, and while it's not known if Theroux attended (or was invited), Brad Pitt was reportedly in attendance.

And although Jen is anti-social media, guest Kate Hudson gave us a sneaky insight into the party with a clip from Aniston's birthday booth on Instagram, which also featured Gwyneth Paltrow.

When fellow partygoer Katy Perry pointed out that there was a social media ban, Hudson revealed that she had been granted permission by the birthday girl.
