Justin Hartley is making sure that he and wife Sofia Pernas keep the spark in their relationship!

The This Is Us alum, 46, and his wife, 34, walked the red carpet at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday.

Before Hartley set foot on stage to present for the evening, he spoke exclusively to PEOPLE about how he and Pernas make the most of their quality time together.

“We hang out at home pretty much all day. Right, babe?" he told PEOPLE, looking to Pernas for confirmation.

“We hang out at home pretty much all the time. We love it at home. Every night's a date night. I'm having the time of my life with her, it's wonderful," he added.

The couple — who both co-starred in The Young and the Restless and later tied the knot in May 2021 — shared a steamy kiss on the red carpet in between interviews at the annual award ceremony.

While speaking to PEOPLE, Hartley also opened up about another fast-approaching big night that he will soon be celebrating: the premiere of his new television series Tracker.

In the CBS action drama, Hartley plays Colter Shaw, "a lone-wolf survivalist who roams the country as a reward seeker, using his expert tracking skills to help private citizens and law enforcement solve all manner of mysteries while contending with his own fractured family," according to the network.

“We're excited about that," Hartley told PEOPLE at the Golden Globes. "Got the rights of the book years ago, and I've been working on this for years now, and in a producer capacity and also starring in the show."

He added that his “really great character” comes from a “wonderful book series” called Nevergame by Jeffrey Deaver.

"This character, his parents were brilliant. His father became increasingly more and more paranoid to the point where it got a little dangerous, moved the whole family off the grid,” Hartley explained. “They became survivalists and then cut to both as an adult now. And he uses all of those skills from his intense childhood with his father and his family to roam around the country in his Airstream. And he collects rewards and finds missing some people and helps people in need.”

Hartley acknowledged that his past role as Kevin Pearson in This Is Us had some pretty big moments, but his work on Tracker has been significantly more intense.

“It's a very physical role, which I'm enjoying. I'm enjoying that. I mean, when I was on This Is Us, time of my life. Not a real physical role, though. I think I sprained a tear duct once or twice while I was on this show. But Tracker [is] a little different. I definitely get my steps in, a lot of punching, a lot of kicking, a lot of fighting, a lot of rolling around, a lot of dirt, a lot of chaos. So it's a different animal. I'm really enjoying it.”
