NASCAR star Justin Haley and Haley Haley are sharing a peek at their “fairytale” wedding celebration.

The couple exchanged their vows on Nov. 17 after getting engaged on April 10th, 2023. As the couple were returning from a race in Bristol, TN, they stopped at the Chestoa View Overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway where the NASCAR driver, 24, popped the question.

The two tied the knot at the Grand Bohemian in Charlotte, N.C. Haley, 25, tells PEOPLE the couple decided to celebrate their new chapter in Charlotte because they reside outside of the city and wanted to be “married near the place we get to call home.”

She adds, “We share a lot of memories in Charlotte, including where we first met, the very romantic Charlotte airport.”

In total, Justin and his now-wife invited around 100 guests — including NASCAR senior chaplain Billy Mauldin and driver Kaz Grala — to celebrate their joyous occasion.

Mauldin also officiated the couple’s ceremony, and the bride made her entrance down the aisle to composer Michael Giacchino’s instrumental track from the Up score titled “Stuff We Did.”

Ahead of their ceremony, the newlyweds exchanged their handwritten vows privately. “We both wanted the intimacy and personal touch of handwritten vows in addition to the traditional vows we did at the ceremony,” shares Haley.

Haley shined in a Mikaella by Paloma Blanca wedding gown. The bride’s parents gifted her the gown which meant a great deal to her. Haley shares with PEOPLE that she “wanted to stay in [the gown] all night” and “wanted to be wearing it in every picture.”

The gown included a strapless satin faille dress with buttons down the back to the waist with an asymmetrical bow, skirt slit and pockets. The bride reveals that she “loved its details while remaining simplistic and classic.”

The entire “romantic and moody” celebration was planned by Jackie Fogartie, who brought the couple’s “dreams to life in the most stunning ways.” Through the use of bold colors and a candlelit ceremony, the couple was able to create a unique and romantic ambiance for their special day.

In addition to creating a unique ceremony, the couple capitalized on their unique situation with the bride's new last name being the same as her first name.

“It's not every day a bride marries someone whose last name is their first name, so we wanted to have fun with that,” Haley shares with PEOPLE. “We both wanted to incorporate Haley Haley in some of our wedding details. She adds, “We even had Haley² on the napkins!”

The Haley² napkins were used as the guests dined on petite beef filets and butter-poached lobster tails, along with a four-tier creme brûlée cake. And for those who wanted to indulge their sweet tooth a bit more, the reception also included a s'mores station.
