Justin Bieber has a less than stellar reputation these days, shushing fans and canceling meet and greets because they leave him “drained and unhappy.” He even declared in May that he would no longer take photos with his Beliebers.

One thing he’s still offering fans (or most likely people who are not fans) is the chance to see him in action at a small venue when they don’t expect it. On Friday, the Ontario-born singer performed a surprise concert at the Fifth Pubhouse in Toronto.

The Biebs, 22, sat down at the piano and sang a stripped-down set that included his own hit, “Sorry,” the Beatles’ classic “Let It Be,” OneRepublic’s “Apologize,” and Beethoven’s “Für Elise.” The pub explained in a release that Bieber arrived alone to watch the Toronto Raptors game and asked if he could play the piano. In exchange, the bar picked up his tab, reported TMZ.

Pub owner Oliver Geddes said that Bieber was gracious to both staff and customers. Page Six reported that he ordered a Jack and Coke during his visit and autographed an outdated pic of himself on the establishment’s Wall of Great Canadians, joking that “it may be time to update the photo.”

Although the singer can sell out a concert tour in an hour, he seems to prefer more intimate venues. Over the past couple of years, Bieber has made a habit of thrilling small crowds at bars with his impromptu shows.

He rocked out on a four-song acoustic set at L.A.’s State Social House in January 2015, where a cover of Edwin McCain’s song “I’ll Be” was on his playlist. In September 2015, he was spotted sitting behind the drums at an Indiana bar. He and Tyga also surprised clubgoers when they performed together at the L.A hot spot 1OAK in February.

Bieber is set to finish his “Purpose World Tour” at the end of the month, but he already has plans for another scheduled show at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach resort on New Year’s Eve. According to TMZ, the “Baby” crooner is offering a special package for one fan at the steep price of $500,000. The lucky buyer will get 10 front row tickets to Bieber’s show, plus a five-night stay at Fontainebleau’s Sorrento Penthouse, the use of Ferraris and other luxury cars, comped dinners, a poolside cabana, and other perks.

Or, you know, you could just troll the local bars and keep your fingers crossed.
