The actress played Nya Wallace on the show's first two seasons.

And Just Like That star Karen Pittman, who played Nya on the first two seasons of the Sex and the City sequel series, will be not be returning for season 3 due to scheduling conflicts, Max announced Friday.

"It has been a joy to have Karen Pittman play the smart and stunning Professor Nya Wallace on the first two seasons of And Just Like That," a spokesperson for the streamer said in a statement. "As we have thoroughly enjoyed working with this dynamic actress, so too have others. Due to her commitments to two other streamer series, it has become apparent that filming three shows at once isn't possible."

Pittman is a series regular on The Morning Show on Apple TV+ and was recently cast for a starring role in the upcoming Netflix series Forever, which will reimagine Judy Blume's novel of the same name.

The Max spokesperson added, "Due to the production realities, we are disappointed to announce that scheduling conflicts will not allow us to continue with this character as part of season 3 of And Just Like That. Karen and Nya will be missed, and her Max family and fans will all be cheering her on in her other endeavors."

A representative for Pittman declined to comment further.

The character of Nya was initially introduced as a new friend of Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis). Pittman was considered a recurring star in the first season and upped to series regular with the sophomore season.

News of Pittman's departure comes almost a month after it was revealed that Sara Ramirez, who starred as the nonbinary stand-up comic Che Diaz on the show, was also taking their final bow ahead of season 3.
