The ladies of And Just Like That… are about to be joined by another New Yorker who loves to talk. (We’re not sure how she feels about high heels, though.)

Rosie O’Donnell has joined the Season 3 cast of Max’s Sex and the City continuation, TVLine has confirmed. The actress and comedian first revealed the news on Instagram, sharing a photo of the season premiere script. The episode is titled “Outlook Good” and written and directed by showrunner Michael Patrick King, and O’Donnell revealed that her character’s name is Mary.

And Just Like That…, with stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis reprising their Sex and the City roles, was renewed for Season 3 last August. Since then, though, there’s been a mini cast exodus, with Sara Ramírez leaving the show as Che Diaz in February and Karen Pittman (aka Nya Wallace) following suit a month later. Season 3 isn’t expected to debut on Max until next year.

O’Donnell, best known for movie roles like A League of Their Own and Sleepless in Seattle and her long-running daytime talk show in the ’90s, has made quite a few appearances on the small screen in recent years. She co-starred on the Showtime dramedy SMILF and played Rita on The Fosters, along with a role on The L Word: Generation Q. Her other TV credits include American Gigolo, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Drop Dead Diva.
