Watch Chris Pratt (and Andy Dwyer) Save the World in New 'Jurassic Parks and Recreation' Mashup

Jurassic Parks and Recreation Mashup Chris Pratt

If you need more proof of Chris Pratt’s career evolution in the last year, look no further.

A YouTube creator released on Tuesday a mashup video that combines clips from Parks and Recreation, the role that first brought Pratt to national attention as the goofy Andy Dwyer, and scenes from the trailer for Jurassic World, the upcoming blockbuster-to-be in which Pratt stars as a super-serious dinosaur wrangler.

Pratt’s silly and moronic in the Parks clips and a swaggering badass in the Jurassic World trailer excerpts, marking a clear progress in his journey from ensemble player to rugged leading man (with Guardians of the Galaxy's Star-Lord a perfect middle ground).

But here’s a through-line for those of you who believe that fictional universes are all connected: Who better to take down a rampaging, genetically modified dinosaur than the guy who protected America’s most precious public service, Leslie Knope (as Burt Macklin, FBI)?

And hey, the man himself has signaled his approval by tweeting a link to the video accompanied by the blessing, “This is awesome!! Haha!”

Parks and Recreation returns for a final season on NBC next week, while Jurassic World hits theaters in June.
