After dominating late-night on The Tonight Show, BTS’ Jung Kook brought his talents to daytime with a performance on Today, Wednesday, Nov. 8.

With a characteristically massive crowd packed into Rockefeller Plaza in New York City, Jung Kook performed a trio of songs from his recently released solo debut, Golden. He began his set with “3D” (which features Jack Harlow on the record), then performed the slinky pop-rock tune “Standing Next to You,” and closed with “Seven,” his hit collaboration with Latto.

(Full performances aren’t up quite yet, but you can definitely check out an impossibly sweet moment where Jung Kook wishes a 10-year-old fan a happy birthday.)

Jung Kook has had a busy few months, becoming the latest BTS member to officially launch his solo era as the group remains on hiatus while everyone fulfills their mandatory service requirements in Korea. After dropping a couple of loose singles in 2022 — including the World Cup anthem “Dreamers” — Jung Kook began rolling out songs for Golden over the summer, including “Seven” and “3D.” The album itself arrived last Friday, Nov. 3, and also featured collaborations with Major Lazer and DJ Snake. (On top of all his solo music, Jung Kook also linked up with the Kid Laroi and Central Tee for a new song, “Too Much.”)

Despite the album release, Jung Kook doesn’t have any touring plans just yet (though he will play a special concert in Seoul on Nov. 20 that will be live-streamed). In an interview with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show earlier this week, Jung Kook admitted he’s not sure he has enough songs yet for a full tour, saying, “I want to complement them more and make more songs, and maybe when I’m ready I can do the tour in full swing.”
