Ready for another level in that most dangerous game of Jumanji? It could happen…

It has been just over a year since the third film in the series, Jumanji: The Next Level, made an incredible $800 million at the worldwide box office, and brought a new dimension to the saga by pulling elements of the game through to the movie's real world.

The film's release was followed by Dwayne Johnson teasing that a fourth movie could shed more light on Game of Thrones star Rory McCann's mysterious warlord Jurgen the Brutal, but the worldwide pandemic seemingly slowed down development.

But hope isn't lost! Speaking to ComicBook recently, Jumanji producer Hiram Garcia "100%" confirmed that there have been talks about the next chapter in the franchise.

"You know, we're always having conversations, and that's a family, that entire group if there's ever been," he said. "It's hard to imagine or remember a time I've been on a set where it's just a beloved group of cast and crew and actors and that's just one of those things where we know we have a really big idea that we want to do with it. We've been discussing it."

Garcia added that the most exciting part of development is cracking this next phase of the saga.

"There's conversations have been going we're in the process of moving that along," Garcia explained. "I can't tell you anything, but we do have big plans for it and that's one of our favorite projects to work on and that's cooking away."
