Julie Ertz Is Pregnant, Expecting Baby No. 2 with Husband Zach Ertz: 'Adding to the Family'

The couple is already parents to son Madden, 19 months

Zach and Julie Ertz are going to be parents again!

Over the weekend, the Washington Commanders tight-end, 33, and his former pro soccer player wife, 32, announced that they are expecting their second baby together, who will join big brother Madden Matthew, 19 months.

Sharing a photo on his Instagram, Zach posed with his pregnant wife, who wore a green velvet dress and placed a hand under her baby bump.

"Happy Birthday Mama! We love you! Adding to the family Summer 2024!" the professional football player wrote in his caption.

In the fall, the tight end was cheered on by his two favorite people — wife and recently retired USNWT star Julie and son Madden.

Video shared by the team on Instagram showed Julie holding Madden up against a railing as Zach came over. The proud mom passed the baby down to him while Dad snuck in a quick kiss and a photo as he warmed up for the game.

As he passed Madden back, Zach shared a kiss with Julie, in a sweet moment she shared on her Instagram, simply captioning the shot, "Family ❤️."

Madden previously got to see his mom play in the World Cup, a moment which Julie shared a photo of. A powerful shot on Instagram showed all the women of the team facing Julie, who held Madden in her arms as she stepped onto the pitch.

"No words can describe sharing this journey with my son," she wrote. "Madden has 22 of the coolest and inspirational aunties in the world!"
