Julie Engelbrecht Flies From ‘Last Witch Hunter’ To ‘The Fourth Reich’

EXCLUSIVE: Julie Engelbrecht, who plays the Witch Queen in Vin Diesel’s Friday opener The Last Witch Hunter, has landed her next gig. She is set for a key role in director Claudio Faeh’s indie World War II thriller The Fourth Reich, from writers Robert Henny & Don Michael Paul.

The pic revolves around British Special Ops and American OSS soldiers who are launched into Nazi territory to extract an important member of a resistance group within Germany. When their plane is shot down, and they’re rescued by Soviets who are on their own mission to prevent the rise of a Fourth Reich, the two factions reluctantly join forces to achieve their goals. Engelbrecht will play Elke Schroeder, who has been working undercover as consummate secretary to Karl Krauss (Michael Epp), gaining intel on Nazi progress and plans and enduring his advances. When she teams with the Americans and Soviets, Elke proves to be as capable a fighter as any of the career soldiers. Sean Patrick Flanery and Stephen Lang also star in the film produced by Jeff Beach and Phil Roth.

Englebrecht’s recent credits include the features Barbecue, Die Mamba and Nicholas On Holiday and TV’s The Strain and Stuttgart Homicide. The Paris-born actress is repped by Paradigm, Elevate Entertainment and Ginsburg Daniels.
