Julie Anne Robinson Sells 5 Projects

The CannyLads producer is about to get busy

Director and producer Julie Anne Robinson and her CannyLads production company just set up five projects between Fox and NBC. The pilots are Snap, Love And…, The Bunker, The Park and Post Office. The projects are all under Robinson's Universal Television deal which she re-upped back in July. Snap, Love And… and The Bunker are hourlongs while The Park and Post Office are half hours.

Robinson will serve as executive producer and director of all five while her Head of Development Kelly Pancho will co-executive produce. Her team took to Twitter to post the news.

Snap, written and executive produced by David Hemingson, centers on "an honest, earnest loan officer who is pushed to the brink by a sleazy colleague. She snaps, a move that will at once put her in peril, liberate her, and bring her to power. "

David Hemingson most recently created ABC's short-lived Whiskey Cavalier and his additional writer and co/executive producer credits include The Catch, Friends with Better Lives and Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23.

Over the summer Hemingson took to Twitter to announce his sadness following Whiskey Cavalier's cancellation as well as his gratitude to all those involved in making the show happen.

Love And…"explores not just romantic love, but all love around the world through a large ensemble of multi-generational characters." The pilot is written and executive produced by Sean Smith. Smith created ABC Family's Greek and was the showrunner/executive producer for Chasing Life and the upcoming Dolly Parton's Heartstrings, which will be released on November 22.

The Bunker follows a group of friends "who discover a hidden bunker in the woods containing proof that in the future they will be responsible for a global apocalypse." The pilot is written by Joshua Fialkov, who predominantly writes comics.

Fialkov was so excited to announce the news on his Twitter.

On the comedy front, The Park centers on a "Midwest couple who move to Hollywood to pursue their dream of making it in the character world at a theme park" and Post Office is about a letter carrier and her father in a small-town post office.

The Park is written by and executive produced by Mike O'Brien and Shelly Gossman and Post Office is written and inspired by Amy Hubbs. Mike O'Brien created NBC's AP Bio which was originally canceled after season 2, then un-canceled and will return on NBC's streaming service. Shelly was a writer on SNL before joining O'Brien's AP Bio as an executive producer. Hubbs is also a writer on AP Bio.
