Julianne Moore’s Graduation Photo of Her Lookalike Daughter Has Us Seeing Double

There are celebrity kids who bear a resemblance to their parents, and then there’s Julianne Moore’s daughter Liv Freundlich. As made abundantly clear in a new photo shared by Moore for her daughter’s high school graduation, Freundlich is practically her mama’s twin! So much so that a cursory glance at the sweet graduation tribute might have you convinced the snapshot is young Moore in a throwback moment.

Moore took to Instagram on Wednesday evening to congratulate her lookalike girl for starting an exciting new chapter. “My daughter Liv Freundlich graduates from high school today. We are so proud of everything she is and everything she has accomplished,” Moore wrote, continuing to gush, “She is smart and brave and kind, and I can’t wait to see what she does next.” The proud mama also pointed out that, as happy as she is for her daughter, she’s equally happy she and husband Bart Freundlich get to hold onto their teen for a little longer since it’s summer.

“We love u @livfreundlich — and u are stuck with us for a few more months, thank goodness.” Granted, if precautions over the novel coronavirus pandemic extend further, Moore might get to keep her mini-me at home this fall, too. We’re guessing she wouldn’t be too upset with that development, though.

It’s been a big year for the Moore-Freundlich household already. Just last month, Liv’s older brother Caleb, 22, graduated with honors from Davidson College. At the time, Moore lamented not being able to celebrate with her son in person, saying, “We are heartbroken that we cannot celebrate him today in the way that he deserves.”

We can’t say we blame Moore for worrying that empty nest syndrome will set in soon. “I’m already caught up in a flood of emotions at the idea that she will leave soon!” Moore admitted to Italian publication IO Donna in November. “Everything changes when the children leave the nest; the dynamics become completely new. It happens to everyone, doesn’t it? Then a new chapter begins: new challenges and emotions, some even exciting, different years ahead and inevitable moments of nostalgia for when they were young.”
