Julianne Hough Comes Out to Husband As 'Not Straight' In Revealing Interview

Julianne Hough opened up to her husband Brooks Laich about her sexuality after going through a journey of self-discovery.

The "America's Got Talent" judge stripped down and told Women's Health, for their annual "Naked Strength" issue, that her "massive transformation" came four months after her 2017 wedding.

“I [told him], ‘You know I’m not straight, right?’ And he was like, ‘I’m sorry, what?’ I was like, ‘I’m not. But I choose to be with you,’ ” she said.

“I think there’s a safety with my husband now that I’m unpacking all of this, and there’s no fear of voicing things that I’ve been afraid to admit or that I’ve had shame or guilt about because of what I’ve been told or how I was raised,” she added.

Hough also shared that her professional hockey player husband has been by her side the whole time, but she was still very nervous to tell him.

"I was connecting to the woman inside that doesn’t need anything, versus the little girl that looked to him to protect me,” she said. “I was like, ‘Is he going to love this version of me?’ But the more I dropped into my most authentic self, the more attracted he was to me."

After opening up to Laich she explained that now the two, "have a more intimate relationship."

Julianne has been a role model for many young fans for her messages of positivity and strong belief system.

The former "DWTS" star even sent a message recently to a fellow young dancer by the name of Abri, who has been battling an illness.

Abri Bentley, is an 11-year-old girl from Scottsdale, Arizona and she was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma in her left leg at 7, and all she wanted to do was dance with the "DWTS" favorite, Julianne Hough.

In a video posted to Team Abri's IG account, Julianne told the girl how proud she was of her while offering words of encouragement.
